NORTH CAROLINA
The first Civilian Airport in North Carolina to receive GRIP-FLEX Surfacing was Sanford Regional Airport. In 2000 the airport needed to fix some serious water and pavement problems on this brand new airport and none of the common pavement maintenance coating products could provide an effective solutution. After every other product on the market was tried GRIP-FLEX got the chance to demonstrate it's extraordinary capabilities and we easily solved the water permeation problems... and subsequently you can now find GRIP-FLEX Surfacing on more than one-third of the airports in the State of North Carolina.

Clinton, North Carolina. It seems in the pavement maintenance industry everybody likes to show off how black their coatings are when they are 1 week old... We at GRIP-FLEX prefer to show you how black a GRIP-FLEX Surface is after 5-10 years..... here is a photo of a 5 year old GRIP-FLEX Surface.

Here is a PCC (Concrete) Ramp at Washington County Airport in North Carolina. After decades the concrete surface was suffering from deterioration (breakouts, FOD, etc.) and the budget dollars for reconstruction just were not available. A new GRIP-FLEX Surface gave the pavement a renewed life at a fraction of the cost of reconstruction.

This is our GRIP-FLEX Surfacing crew filling the joint cracks on an asphalt overlayed concrete runway. We fill every crack by hand with a special blend of our binder and then install a GRIP-FLEX Surface... all at one-fourth the cost of an asphalt overlay and one-tenth the cost of reconstruction.

Maryland
In the summer of 2006 we added Maryland to our list of states with GRIP-FLEX Surfacing on GA Airports. One of the most unique and interesting airfields in our portfolio, Potomac Airfield is within sight of the Washington Monument. And any flyers that venture into this airspace better know what they are doing, because the United States Airforce is watching your every move. With the new GRIP-FLEX Surface the Potomac Airfield with standout from the sky for the next 10-15 years because GRIP-FLEX will remain vividly black indefinitely.

|
Only certain pilots will recognize that view... US Naval Aviators... Potomac Airfield is not your typical GA Airport. Except that they have a GRIP-FLEX Surface!

Like we said... not your typical GA Airport... Potomac Airfield... just a few miles south of the Washington Monument.

Here's another view of the runway at Potomac Airfield. This is the GRIP-FLEX Surface after one very tough winter. No damage done except for a few salt stains.
